The Life Recovery Workbooks are a series of Christian-based workbooks designed to help people work through addiction, trauma, codependency, and other life struggles using biblical principles and the 12 steps of recovery. They're often used alongside The Life Recovery Bible, but can also be used independently or in group settings.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use them effectively:

1. Choose the Right Workbook
There are different Life Recovery Workbooks based on specific topics:

Addiction

Grief

Eating disorders

Divorce

Codependency

Sexual integrity, etc.

Pick the one that aligns with what you're working through right now.

2. Set a Regular Time and Space

Consistency is key. Try to work on it:

Daily or a few times a week

In a quiet place where you can reflect and write without interruption.

3. Read the Introductory Sections
Each workbook usually starts with:

An explanation of the 12 steps (from a biblical perspective)

A guide on how to use the workbook

Scriptures and encouragement

Take time to read that first—it sets the tone.

4. Work Through One Step at a Time
The workbook follows the 12-step format. Each step includes:

A brief explanation of the step

Scripture references

Reflection questions

Journaling prompts or exercises

Don’t rush. Some steps may take you longer, and that’s totally okay.

5. Write Honestly
Use the space to journal your thoughts, struggles, prayers, or experiences. No one else needs to read it unless you choose to share.

 6. Pray Before and After Each Session

It helps center your focus and invites God into your recovery process.

7. Consider Joining a Group
These workbooks work well in:

Life Recovery Groups (Christian recovery groups)

Church small groups

One-on-one with a sponsor, mentor, or counselor

Sharing can bring healing and support.

8. Use with the Life Recovery Bible (Optional but Helpful)
The Bible has extra notes, devotionals, and tools that tie directly into the workbooks. It helps connect your recovery journey with Scripture even more.

If you let me know which specific workbook you're working on, I can give more tailored tips. Want help with that?
